About Tordillos...
Tordillos is the hometown of Teresa Layz, sponsor of the convent of the Assumption of the Carmelite Mothers of Alba de Tormes.
She was asked to marry Francisco Velázquez, born in the Villa Ducal, an accountant at the University of Salamanca for two years, and then at the Estate or House of Alba. Teresa entrusted herself to Saint Andrew to have children, but in a vision, she was commissioned to found a convent (so she could have many spiritual daughters), which she did with the support of her husband.
