About Ávila
It’s impossible to highlight all monuments and places to visit in Ávila but, a pilgrim shouldn’t miss:
The Convent of the Incarnation , where Teresa lived half of her life; St Josephs’s Monastery, where she started the Carmel reform); and the Convent of Santa Teresa, church and convent built on the site of the house where Teresa was born.
Don’t forget to visit the Medieval Wall and the Four Posts, where Teresa was stopped by her uncle while she was trying to leave for muslims lands to convert their people to Catholicism.
