About Rivilla de Barajas
Saint Teresa walked through this town in 1568, when she was travelling to Valladolid to establish one of the convents.
She used that trip to know the house she had been offered to found the male order in Duruelo.
From Avila, she went to Duruelo (as she narrates in chapter 13 of the Foundations book). From Duruelo, she travelled to Fontiveros, passing by Rivilla de Barajas, to continue her trip to Valladolid.
